Overview
This article explains how to connect QuickBooks with Atlas.
Step by Step Guide
- Sign in to your QuickBooks account
- If QuickBooks asks you to verify your phone number, feel free to click Skip for now
- Go to Dashboard and click on the blue button on the right that says Create an app. An app will appear with the name TestAtlas
4. Select the TestAtlas app and go to Development > Keys and OAuth. Note down the Client ID and Client Secret, as you will need them later on
5. Click on OAuth 2.0 Playground to get the authorization code
6. Select the TestAtlas (Production) app in the dropdown menu
7. In OAuth settings, select Scopes under Accounting, and click on Get Authorization Code
8. Note down the Realm ID as you will need it later on, and click on Get tokens. For your information, the Realm ID (language used in QuickBooks) and Company ID (language used in Atlas) are the same
9. The Refresh token and Access token appear. Copy them. Please note, the Access token, which you require for the next step, expires in 60 minutes
10. Log in to Atlas and choose Settings > Configure > Accounting System
11. Select QuickBooks and enter the Client ID, Client Secret, Refresh Token, Access Token, and Company ID (also called Realm ID in QuickBooks)
12. Click on Validate button at the top, and click on Save Changes button
