Overview

This help article describes the Overview screen of the Project Management Project Info Tab.

To establish a milestone plan, go to Settings > Configure > Milestone Plan.

Explore these options to navigate through the milestones screen:

1. Choose the milestone plan screen by Revision (i.e. Current Revision). Click on the dropdown menu and view the time and date of all previous revisions. Double-click on a previous revision and it will load on the screen.

2. To make changes to the milestone plan screen, click on New Revision. Click into the fields you want to change. You can either a.) click on Save as Draft (top left) if this is work in progress or b.) click on Save Changes (top right) and save the screen as a revision. If you saved it as a draft, the button Discard Draft Revision will appear. If you click it, your entire draft will disappear, regardless of when you saved the draft (i.e. today or yesterday).

3. Choose the milestone plan screen by Milestone (i.e. Assessment, Construction, etc.)

4. Click Change Plan if you wish to change the 'product' of your project, i.e. from utility solar to C&I. If you click Change Plan, a pop up will appear to inform you that changing the plan will reset the baselined milestone, and it will ask you if you are sure you want to do this. Select Yes or No.

5. Click Import to upload data. Click Browse... to look for your file, then select Export to excel. Your Excel file will get converted to an Excel file which matches the outline of the Milestone screen. Go ahead and modify the data as needed, save the file, and click Import again to upload your new Excel file.

6. Click Export and the export of the milestone screen as an Excel Spreadsheet will automatically be initiated.

7. Once the first revision of milestones is saved in a new project, and if you are an Atlas admin, the Approve Baseline button will be activated. Go ahead and click the button. This baseline will from now on be referenced in Project Management > Milestone Variance as the baseline.

8. Assign an owner/case to a milestone by right-click into the screen. In order to see all team members which you wish to select from, be sure to update the Project Team screen before assigning an owner.

9. Click on the upload symbol on the right side of any milestone and upload any document. You will be asked to add documents, and to define what type of documents these files belong to. The document can then be found in Project Management > Documents.
