OVERVIEW
This help article describes how Dashboard Editors can create a new dashboard. Every user can view the new dashboard, however only Admins and Dashboard Editors can edit or add new dashboards.

Open New Dashboard
1. Go to the Upper Right Menu, click on the plus icon and choose New Dashboard.
2. A new dashboard screen will open.
Add Data Source Using Grids
1. Click on this icon in the top left corner of your screen to open the dashboard menu.
2. In the dashboard menu, click on Grids. By the default, the all projects grid will already be there. However, you can further add other grids, such as My Cases, then click on the Add button. Now you added specific grids as a data source.
3. To see which data sources you selected, click on Data Source in the dashboard menu.
Creating Grids (or Charts)
1.) Close Dashboard menu to return to the New Dashboard screen. Click the grid icon (highlighted in red).
2.) A new screen will appear. Click on Click here in the middle of the screen, then click on the settings icon on the left, and on the appearing Configure Column button. Add columns by clicking on them (i.e. ASP), then click on the Configure Column button again to add another column (i.e. COGS) and so forth.
3.) To change the order in which you want the columns to be represented on the right side, drag and drop the columns upwards or downwards on the left side.
4.) In order to create a chart, click on the chart icon and repeat the steps as when creating a grid.
5.) If you wish to use a different data source for your chart, go to Data/Filtering at the bottom left. Click on All Projects (an example data source). Your data sources will unfold (see example below). Select your new data source and click OK.
6.) You can add a variety of grids, charts and tables in one dashboard. Hover over the outline of i.e. the chart and change the size of the chart in relation to the grid and pie chart
Save a Dashboard and Export
To save a dashboard, click on this icon on the left. The dashboard menu will open.
Click Save.
A new window will open. Now choose whether you you want to keep the dashboard private, or whether you want to make it public so that other users can view it too. By default, every dashboard will be private. The All Dashboard report will only show public dashboards. Give it a name and click OK.
Once it is saved, the dashboard becomes a read-only mode. To edit it, click on the edit icon in the top right corner. You can also export the dashboard as PDF, Image or Excel by clicking the Export icon.
Choosing Private Dashboard as Homepage
Go to you user profile > Update Profile. A new window will open. Check the checkbox next to Enable Dashboard Homepage, then click Save.
Pick any of your dashboard which are marked as private. Then check the box on top right corner to set the dashboard as your new homepage.
If you want to reverse this action and not have the private dashboard set as the homepage, simply go to User Profile > Update Profile and uncheck the box again.
